On 8 & 9 November 2023, the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) has organized the ‘Productivity Step Up For Construction Sector’ Program in collaboration with CIDB Johor and MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. This program is conducted specifically for the construction industry which aims to encourage the use of digital applications in increasing the productivity and efficiency of companies in that sector.
The program has been conducted at the MPC Hall of the Southern Region, for 2 days and involved 20 participants from 17 companies in the construction sector from Johor. As a Technology Consultant appointed by MPC in this program, MSC Cyberport has collaborated with Pahang Skills to use drone technology as a method to increase efficiency in the construction sector. The participants will be exposed theoretically and practically related to the drone’s usage that can be implemented in their construction project.
After the program ends, the participants will be provided with a free drone by MSC Cyberport. The Drone handover session was carried out by Mr. Yusuf, Robotics Engineer from MSC Cyberport to all companies that have fully involved throughout the program. The participants also have to prepare a Final Project Report for 2 weeks after the program ends, by applying the use of Drone technology in their report.
The participation of all 17 companies are very encouraging and with the implementation of this program in construction sector, it can help to increase productivity and reduce waste in terms of time, cost and raw materials.
